I like the background colour, the attitude of the models and how they present the clothes. I like the fact that the focus is on the face so that's why it's lit more than the rest of the body. The focus is on the model as well and I think he tries to put the model in the spotlight so he uses sort of dark backgrounds. This way, the viewer won't be distracted by the background. The model has a lot of personality and she tries to put that into the clothes.I think he likes working with this kind of models because this way he can magnify their attitude.

" What I'm trying to do is keep it really simple, see who the girl is, see what the clothes are, and create a look that will maybe be a little more interesting. I don't feel like having a big scenario to hide things. What you're seeing is the girl and the clothes - that's it." he said in an interview for Tear Sheet Magazine in 2002


I like the way he thinks because I believe that fashion can exist without big scenarios like he says as well. You only need a model, clothes and a bit of creativity as I am going to use/have for my project.
